58th

This merdeka day celebrations,.. there's no feel to it at all

In years past, we'd crowd around awe-inspiring TV commercials with focus on racial unity and gratitude to our forefathers who brought this nation into one

But this merdeka, our 58th, is marred with something more important 

A current issue at hand, a pressing one that is on top of (most of) everyone's list

Where past anniversaries served as run-of-the-mill annual reminders to fortify our unity and instill gratituity,

This year's marks a different awakening of sort.. there will be a rally. Voices want to be seen and heard..

Are we finally progressing through another threshold as a nation? 

Right.. for what it's worth, things could go either way, still, I'd like to call it a progress.

At the very least, we are moving forward..

Let it be known to the world.
