of course, i only heard of it through Khalil's cover efforts on his Timeless album.

it wasnt really even one of my favs while discovering timeless back in sep last year.
alas, it was meant to shine quite brightly i had found ... while at his concert held recently here in may at Genting. and i was again, reminded by sis today at home.. when she swore that she will be singing this one the next time she hits her karaoke nook..
look what i found while foraging Youtube for amei's original version.
yes, yes, her voice is all solid and really emotionally coined to the song. perfect.
but this, this is like a combi of both my spotlighted taiwanese male singers..!
Jam Hsiao + Khalil Fong ... =P how much more can you ask for in a night huh?? =D
hsiao's voice is all rocker-ish and really powerful.. the intensity as if burnt into the song..
but khalil's more soulful i do feel... it was less intense, at the same more controlled..
amei's .. well no doubt, this song when sung in a female's point of view... makes it a different song entirely.
listenin to khalil's version now on my shuffle, with the sound of the vuvuzelas cut out, it just brings it all back .. the concert.. this song to be exact.
the part where the whole stage shuts down for that second, and then the next, they blasted it back on.. the percussions, in perfect precision.
another itch scratched...
