Happy New Year 2015!

Started the new year with 3 temple visits, 3 days in a row.. :)

Hope the new year will be one filled with blessings ..

So crazy December is over now, till I see you again..

Upbeat January is now here.. We are in fact, nearing mid-month now (yay!)

Didn't stop me from pulling a no-show at work today anyway.. (be good, jen.. pls be good)

Anyways, the post-vacation-wanderlust mood is now slowly but surely being replaced with the yearning-for-the-CNY mood 

Yes, the cheesy CNY festive songs are never comparable to the magical Christmas jingles.. but I was too caught up then in December, and .. nothing compares seriously to this once-in-a-year time of the year.. am plotting my CNY leaves already.

it's December after all...

tonight.. after so many december nights,
i'd stopped by facebook like how i do every night..
and i see faces of joy and postings of celebrations.

birthdays, births, proposals, marriages..
dong zhi dinners, early christmas celebrations..
holidays, and year end vacation shots..
it's all positive, it's all good..

i've been preoccupied.. for the entire 23 days of december,
with work, i.e. Currentjob.
couldn't help it, still can't.
i've missed things.. this december.

this week at woek is extra woeful..
a vital colleague is away on leave, i am left mostly to my own.
3 working days to pull through before he comes back..
everyone wants their chairs & tables before the big xmas eve feast.
i've made it past 2 so far, not entirely unscathed.. -.-"
i can't wait for my turn now

found some new music on spotify.. It's all good

hang out day with mom & dad at the mall(s). Even dad got himself a piece of heattech

started the "dream book". Marrie would be proud

streets in HK came alive. the wars of the world

ashes & plumes in Japan.. mom nature venting out

this just came in. Attacked by Odin in my Samurai Siege game. 

It's all due to time. It's all in due time.

I'd like to think.. That the nice things would come to you when you aren't expecting them..

Likewise, the not so nice things would come and catch you off guard when you're anything but ready.

War of the worlds.. and our poor plane becomes a thing of collateral damage..

Conspiracy theories aside, it is hard to not feel sad for the nation, for our national carrier.. 

This is when the country is still reeling from the recent tragedy that is MH370

As shock and confusion sink in.. It became obvious that this is a thing much bigger than being just "a malaysian thing".. more than half of those who perished were Dutch, not to mention the various few nations

This is truly a tragedy that transcends borders.. 

It's no good comparing the Dutch and the Chinese.. likewise it's no use comparing the MH17 to the MH370 tragedies.. Equally saddening, that's what it is.

It is most unfortunate that there is no survivor from both tragedies

It is most unfortunate that my country is now to be known rather infamously for reasons less coveted
