oops, i did it again...
in a mock display of riotous behaviour (unacceptable, unnecessary, & even foolish to some),
yes, i hav dunnit again…
against all earlier efforts of psyching-up, all efforts have now came to be puny attempts..
sigh… yes. i couldn’t help it. not anymore as of today.
but tomorrow, tomorrow will be another brand new day, another brand new attempt.. =)

Let's talk about Love
Finally it’s the se7enth day of the Lunar New Year, also known as ‘Yan-Yat’ (where according to Chinese folklore/legend, the day where humans were created, not before all the mountains and streams and livestocks, yes, cows and such, were made by the Creator).
I guess, this just goes to show how a thick wad of Sunday papers never fail to ooze the “gibberishness” out of me, and yes, how in actual fact, humans take less precedence out of everything else in the making of this realm… hahah.
Anyhow, today’s paper featured an article of sorts on this thing called Love.
Unconditional love of all sorts; the lovers’ kind, the maternal kind, and the canine kind… of course, the lovers’ kind had me pondering too, and the maternal kind got me feeling all overwhelmed while picturing my sis and my nephew in the head, as for the canine kind, nope, I skipped that. Shame shame, but pets just aren't my thing.
The unconditional love. The writer threw the question of "how you'd feel if your girlfriend left you for your best friend?" instead of the usual/normal/accepted bout of rage, betrayal and jealousy, Unconditional Love would mean forgiveness and happiness that your now-ex-partner has newfound contentment and happiness albeit in the arms of another man, worse still, your best friend, who you'd one day imagined would be in fact, your bestman down the aisle.
I think, 'forgiveness of' and 'happiness for' your ex only comes (if they ever), AFTER, all the bouts of rage, jealousy, angst and feeling of betrayal. Humans being humans (no pun intended on this Yan-Yat), are creatures of emotions after all. In this day of instant-love and break-ups, players are entitled to instant gratifications as well as instant flares of temper. Talks about forgiveness and happiness, these are all only after attempts, maybe even numerous attempts, of wrestling back your lost love. Failed attempts, may then bring about 'forgiveness of' and 'happiness for' your ex-partner. Call it whatever you like, but yes, defeat equals 'forgiveness of' and 'happiness for'. But then again, it’s a laudable effort, considering not all defeated players go down well with the road of 'forgiveness of' and 'happiness for'. let’s not forget about Bitterness and Hate.
Perhaps, it can be summed that those who choose to discover and follow the forgiveness and happiness path earlier are the real winners. We are all players in the various & different stages of life.. accepting reality and moving on are the best bets. After all, we do not live to play only on one stage.
All these while watching the telly, MTV ~ I love the 80s & 90s (my first switch to channels other than astro’s dynasty package on this lunar new year period), along the old yet favored yet kinda humorous tunes of:
Always by Erasure,
Shattered Dreams by Johnny Hates Jazz,
Love Changes (Everything) by Climie Fisher...

Spring Fest again~!!
"The Week", leading to the great 'nian-chu-yi'... =)
before i let myself get caught up in the neverending work stress (yes, i dare claim them as stress however trivial they may be in actual)... i should realli wake-up and smell the roses.. literally, before i wake up on nian-chu-4 and find that it's all Over!! hahahha... (yes, work starts early this year for us..)
was at Centrepoint today with Jamie for a gratifying lunch at MFM, just as we were about to finish ordering, much to our delight, there was a Lion Dance show slotted right at 2pm!! yippee, my first lion dance of the year...
and we had a great view from the first floor balcony, overseeing all the details as they hop & leap across the poles... not to mention the lion's antics.. playing shy, 'shivering' on the poles, and their coyness when asking for applause from the audiences... heheh.. it's all coming back. the CNY mood.
back at home later, it became obvious that people around the neighbourhood had started their festive mood early too.. bangs of firecrackers could be heard already... Nope, not those u see on newyear eves, but those red ones so significant to the Lunar new year... =)
again, it's all coming back. the CNY mood.
back in the office, the directors have begun throwing pre-CNY lunches and dinners, as per annual practice. the decoratives in the office have been up since the beginning of the month too... as per annual. again, it's all coming back. the CNY mood.
yeah, it'l come fast and it'l b over soon too... but hey, before all that... i'm gonna live this week to the fullest...
not gonna let any negative vibes come my way...
(fingers doubly-crossed!)
to all folks celebrating the lunar new year,

Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!

easy relaxants...
may not work every time, but they kinda help...
1... Extra hours of sleep (meaning quality rest); 'extra' meaning anything from 12 to 15 hours...
2... A good dose of lazing & snuggling on the bed after that 12 to 15 hours of sleep...
3... A good and big helping of brunch... (it shud be after noon by then)
4... A thick wad of the Star's papers to get you through the afternoon
5... A good alternative would be some re-run marathon of taiwanese idol dramas (viewings that were missed on their weekday slots)
6... A working streamyx line, followed by the must-checks: hotmail, gmail, facebook, my blog, my fellow scratchers' blogs...
7... And if a good kaki is online, a round of healthy bitchin' & catchin' up on the latest wasupps (courtesy from non-other... FB)
8... Lastly, all the above if topped-up with a planned nite-out... Mamma~mia~!!
9... Oh~! and above all, it has GOTTA BE a Saturday no less!... anything less or more, then it just wouldn't work as fine!!!
~monday will come, but hey... it's Saturday NOW!!!~

mind boggling~
anything... but this thing that you're doing now.
what? oh ya, they call that 'escape'.
the Ocean... vast and mysterious as it is, never fail to impose wonders and evoke a sense of great freedom. after all, great journeys and tall tales were weaved out of the ocean since times centuries ago...
nah.. this one looks way too familiar. anyone who've been to krabi/ phuket/ samui would've seen this at aplenty right out of their vacation shots, no?
how 'bout this one then? with a beach in the shot... it looks more 'grounded' and gives you more of a sense of security... where despite your yearning to break 'free' into the limitless ocean that just seem to blend so effortlessly into the quaint, blue skies in the horizon... you'd still rather be seated on the beach instead, watching as the ocean roars and frolics... while, you, yes... 'at least' still safely, on the beach...

or rather, as pictures do what they do best... painting thousands of words... a 'neverending' road that leads to somewhere unknown, never fails to intrigue and inspire as well...

and yet, you'd feel a tad of adventure waiting.. reserved just for you... at just ahead right after the bend... and yes, you'd sense the security too... as civilisation lays not far away, at least with a yellow signboard pre-informing that 'twisted' road lays ahead... (or would you rather view that as a warning instead?)
images, and of coz, songs... never fail to provoke and inspire.
yep, right now i am again, listening to repeats of mika's relax.
yes, a haunting note... that somehow manages to relax my nerves, with its repeating chants and choruses..
and yet ironically... this is always my choice of song when typing gibberish on my dell,
at times like these......

new Year, new Zest~!
anyhow... New Year, New Zest for another Grrreat New Year ahead... yup. that's what i've been reading on the net, when i googled up "rooster fortune 2009".
"For the Rooster, the year of the Ox offers a pleasing and restful period."
"Basically, Chicken people have good luck in 2009, year of Cow. The main reason is the Chicken and Cow have the attraction relationship."
"Get ready for an outstanding year. Aside from the Snake, the Rooster has the best prospects in the year of the Ox."
and the ratings in the year of Ox for the rooster: 72% ~10 favorable and 2 neutral months~
hmmm... Good to know.. Good to know indeed...
with the Lunar new year just around the corner, i guess i'll be up to my annual habit of going out getting myself yet another copy of lilian's fortune & fengshui 2009. call it a mantra, a guide, plain nonsense, whatever... it just provides me with simple entertainment and "forecasts" for months less rosy.
HaHaHa!!...
work is still as crazy as ever... just spent a full day at Putrajaya working on some shitz (i'd b darn "surprised" if they tell me there's no B for the year...)
x'mas was spent with my buddies over a relaxing dinner at Alexis'...

new year was spent modestly with just a cuppa nearer to home...
dad took a long holiday off to cap the year '08. went tourin' to Pak Bara and Trang, Thailand with his cyclomaniac-frens... =P
~the entourage~
~Wang Prachan, Satun province~
~dad goin' snorkellin'~
~Pak Meng Pier, Trang~
~Cool...~!
~awe-inspiring shots~
~tagged: 'Orang Besi' by his fellow tour-mates ^^ ~but then before all the hype, i shall first need to renew my passport to last me another good 4 and a half years to come. am hoping that the clients' advice for us to wait until Feb to renew shall be a good one. heard that they're slashing the price by Half~!
indeed, let's look forward to another, GREAT YEAR ahead!
moo~moo~!
