even right now, at this moment, i can hear the chants of terawih prayers blasting about from the mosque behind my house, and the piercing opera play staged just in front of my house. talk about 1Malaysia eh??
well but then, dont get me wrong, overall it's just like the average week.. weekday and weekend.. but still... so hear me out now...
it all started out pretty much the same.. monotonous monday...
then on tuesday night, the A/C broke... the unit was spewing warm air, with the current climate here in kl, we wasted no time getting the repairman in the next day.
mom called in the office the next day, so turned out the compressor was a goner. great.. first it was the car's A/C, now the room's... all in the merry month of August.. so i consoled myself, that things surely will get old and worn out. and the repair bills will definitely make their ways in
O.o
that sorted out, spent wednesday night getting about kl downtown on an lrt + monorail joyride with the gang from office.. yes, the girls from 3rd floor somehow managed to clinch a free meal out of one of our directors from the office.. and it turns out my name was on the list too~
the first mention of traveling downtown to jogoya @ starhill from pj on the public transport system was pretty daunting to me.. it did crop up in me that maybe it isnt worth all that hassle at all... but then somehow i had this nagging note-to-self that i shouldnt always be the procrastinator. and so in the name of 'giving face' to dear ol' mryap, i merrily joined the gang on a long-forgotten LRT ride at the paramount station, and later embarked on my maiden trip on the city's monorail system from kl sentral to bukit bintang. we couldnt help smiling sheepishly to each other along the trip, especially between me and audrey. seriously, the LRT? but, some good did come out of it though,.. (i chose to think at least).. i got to see the insides of the pudu jail from the moving monorail...!
=D
thursday night was another ballgame in its own.
in keeping with the Non-procrastinator and Non-pessimist mantra, i'd decided to join the girls from office (again) for club nite at Gsix @ the Gardens.
i've heard of the horror stories from my mates, of Gsix and all its 'fishy' patrons.. but still, i marched on. the night, i gotta say, was just so-so for me. although there wasnt much to complain about i'd found, i also couldnt help wondering why my watch ticked so slowly that night.
(my dear mate's status comment on FB today was just so apt; i dont see myself able in handling the clubs anymore now too) ... poor last-day-gurl was totally wiped out by the time we turned left towards pj from bangsar.. i've had to stop and my hazards lights on twice along the way! my only consolation? entry and liquor was cheap.. (only 2 bottles of black label for all 13 of us?!) and i won my case in stopping at murni @ ss2 for my maggi goreng fix ...
=)
friday was state holiday for Selangor.. and a few other states here in malaysia.
got roped in for a shopping tour of pavilion by bestie. which was great... like i would actually drive myself there to shop.. ?
met up with future-director for lunch @ kampachi.. which would've almost been perfect had combust managed to join us in time too. all four of us lunching together in kl. like, how often can that happen? finally managed to scour the floors for a long overdue hoodie and a much needed new cardigan.. but i think, the highlight of the day's walk.. we practically whiled the hours away effortlessly, sipping coffee at starbucks and then again at espressamente illy..
XD
saturday. saturday came and so did our plan to jog at frim.
did the usual packing for the run, and realized that i couldnt find my ipod. which was amusing, because no matter how messy my desk was, there was no way i could miss the long white cords. a quick look at the other side of the table, and i almost had it for sure. even the charger cable was not at its usual place! some quick and urgent calls later, mom managed to get the A/C repairman to help check for it. pretty devastated along the jog.. musicless, half-lost-cause, i even thought to myself that perhaps i'll have the new unit engraved rokujen`II.

thank goodness to the few good honest ppl still in kl (this repairman inclusive), my ipod's home all safe and sound now. i did whine to bestie along our jog.. why would ppl go through all these hassle, give in to all these silly temptations, causing these unnecessary troubles to ppl? and eventually themselves? mr honest-repairman told us he found the ipod among the suspected worker's belongings, and had him fired promptly. . . =S
another itch scratched...
