another itch scratched...
where words go wonky

that was followed by DragonTigerGate (2006)... which i honestly did not enjoy as much due to there were also some really unnecessary nicholases and shawns... =S

thank goodness, there was still FLASH POINT (2007)... this time, he was paired with dashing Louis Koo. But still, the main figure was again, DonnieYen. nothing more upbeating than watching him kickin' up some baddies' asses... =P

sunday nite came... and again, i was surprised with another DonnieYen flick. this time one that i had not watched before, An Empress and The Warriors (2008). Starring also, the very pathetic kelly and leon. they simply, trust me, simply brought the whole film DOWN. sigh... what a waste of DonnieYen being the mere sidekick...
oh well~! he was still the only reason i plodded on...

i thought that was all then, as the weekend drew to an end.
but alas, on a weekday nite, there was another offering of DonnieYen.. Se7en Swords (2005)! Hahah~!
this time, i was being near-desperate. coz really, the limelight was shared with SEVEN other actors!! he had major parts though, the other being (again) leon lai... (omfg?!!)
so. that was it...
lunch today, i professed my infatuations to my bunch of lunchin` ladies.
to which i was 'fed' by Yvonne, that there is another 'new film' (besides IpMan of course)... Painted Skin (2008).
hmm... from its synopsis, it's clear that he's not the lead in that film, but hey Waht z Heck!! i'm still gonna get my hands on that sooner or later!
but of course (many of courses tnite..) i managed to book the IpMan (2008) vcd from, ahem: ~audrey/ jess/ Sis~
LOL!!! this many people owns that CD i tell you!!
guess i'm not entitled to this infatuation alone~!

waiting for our flight... (@ Mary Brown, LCCT)
Left: Boarding the AirBus... Right: Lunch at Hangzhou Airport..
road-trips. loads and loads of road trips. seen here, we were heading from Hangzhou towards Shanghai..
the setting sun ~ @ Hangzhou Bay Bridge..
Shanghai's morning sun ~ view from our room @ Hua Yi Hotel
~behold: Shanghai's super highways...
~ view of the Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower, from across the Bund (Waitan) ~

arriving at Nanjing Rd. ~Shanghai's premier shopping street...

Shanghai's famed Yu Gardens (Yu Yuan).. before you get to step into the ancient gardens, you'll be greeted with a very lively bazaar, selling all kinds of local foodies, from pingtang-wulou, to skewered soft shell crabs, Stinky Tofu (i grew to love 'em here!!~) and of course, Xiao Long Pao~!!
this is the garden.. just like what we see from all those wuxia pictures and movies...
this is Xiao Sao, our lanky Hangzhou-based tour guide... Nice chap that fella~!
@ somewhere off the beaten track.. Truth is, halfway through the tour, I just couldn’t be bothered where we were at all!
But this, this I could never forget. This is WuZhen… the water village of yesteryears…
Words cannot describe the mood here in this old town. Yes, it’s still inhabited but onli by old villagers and of course, throngs of tourists!
The most memorable of all nights, this one where we had our own sweet time delighting in some skewered bbq meat and veges by the roadside near our hotel in Hangzhou, the Jiangfeng Hotel… simply yummylicious…!~
so, would i still go visit China again? hmmm.... only Time will tell...
