a week of rainn...

it's been almost a week of incessant rain now...
well, in pj that is.. they sorta only start ard 5.30 p.m. or so... (grrrh...)
TG the boss wasn't in the whole week too... that sorta helped lighten' up things a wee bit...
nevertheless, these are the images i had to brace through each day after leaving office, ard 6 in the evening...
~snaking out into LDP from somewhere near ChauYang... somehow, everyone thinks they're somewhat smarter with their way of 'thau-kai'~

`upon reaching the tunnel towards Uptown... the skies never loomed so alarmingly before, it seemed...~

`crawling inside the tunnel, tryin' hard to make way for the Ambulance... Gosh, fancy being caught in a jam like that with the siren wailing from behind you... ish ish ish...'

nearing the bridge at 1U... what? so all cars are towards KEPONG now??? lol...

~aahhhh... the toll plaza... the rm1.60 toll plaza... I've already got the Home-Sweet-Home feel... ^^
p/s: notice how the skies are already DARK?
sigh...

Grey

"the world is not black and white"...

(only legal matters are ~shoot!)

but for the rest of the world, it is never black and white...
perhaps sometimes Grey-ish, but never black and white.

weekend bliss~...

At the end of a hard-days’ week, on a Friday night… I fell asleep on the couch.
My earlier attempt to ‘just take a nap’ and wake up for a long Friday night has obviously failed. It’s an irony how I just refuse to go to bed on weekday nights, only to then simply doze off like a pig on a Friday night… ^^
Perhaps it’s the “I don’t want my weekdays to end with just work and meals and sleep” and the “it’s the weekend and I still have Saturday and Sunday all up to me” syndromes… ^^

My weekend bliss… ahh, yes…
Bliss is knowing that the work week has ended for yet another weekend, knowing that I have nothing ‘scheduled’ for two days, knowing that I have no obligations whatsoever to return calls or rush to the third floor office to get signatures… (yes, it is quite obvious that I’d found work nightmarish these few days…) hmm…
Anyhow, waking up pretty early at 9.30 am this morning (yes, any time before 11 am is
considered p r e t t y early to me…) I’ve managed to find myself today, another blissness to the weekend… yes, something that I enjoy doing only on a non-working day… basking in the warm, 10am, vitamin-D-rich sunlight!! Well, true, although just within the comfort of my own home, still, it’s considered something ‘au-naturale’… instead of the usual office air-conditioning that I’d be locked-in on a normal 10am weekday…

Come to think of it, everything just seems so much more blissful when I’m not in the office!… true, the clouds were perkier when I was holidaying in KK (I’m sure there are clouds in KL too rite?), the sunlight are warmer to the heart on weekends (I find the sun scorching on weekdays when I walk from the office to the warehouse…)… in a nutshell, it just seems impossible for me to notice charming things like these on a normal, working weekday.

Sad… perhaps I should always remind myself that work naturally fills-up close to 70% of my time, and perhaps so for the rest of my existence on this planet.
Learn to live with it then?
Yes, but in the mean time, I shall first live my weekend to the fullest… by planning absolutely nothing to do at all!!!…

rain = madness ...

i get kinda crazy when it rains... or shud i say "inspired"?
especially when it's raining REAL big...
and i am in the comfort of a sheltered building.
it gets even better when the rain is outside and i m behind the glass wall, with fierce rain lashing on the window panes...
it sorta gives me a sense of security... from the roaring works of mother nature outside..
yet, i m in the office, and its not even nearing the end of the work day...
so much tasks unfinished... there goes my sense of security...

mixed feelings... can i say they give me some sort of 'high-ness'?

Owite, whatever, the last that i culd remember, i only went 'wetto' at poppy during jamie's bday... gosh, that was like over half a year ago!!! Sad Sad rite? well, not really, coz even tnite, i did hesitate a bit... dreading that my ol'bones wuld probably fail me... =>

so, turned out they hav this new place called Quattro at AvenueK... after parking our car, we saw their big, BIG ad-boards introducing all four of their 'seasons'... of coz, we chose AUTUMN... it seemed most appropriate of all (we were too lazy to fit into any winter coats anyways...)

and needless to say, it was damn PACKED to the brim!!! all we culd manage was a mere spot at the bar... well, suffice to say, we had our share of joy and drinks (fairly... fairly).. and i cant even remember the name of the bottle we had... something xxxOrangiexxx if my memory's not failing me now... anyhow, i m pretty sure we had some crazy times snapping away on zephyr's digicam... all the way to africa and MILAN (i still tink i heard it was IRAN... ^^)

that's Hot!!!

The weather must’ve been forecasted cloudy in KK, Sabah.
We didn’t know, I did not bother. Not until now when I look back on the pictures, that it dawned upon me… yes, most of the sky shots were filled with ‘awans’ that ‘berkepul-kepuled~‘. The differences, are only, if I must say, it was in the tone of them all. They started with very bright sunny blue on a hot afternoon, then adjourned to very bright auburn with sparks of ray bouncing off the balmy sea, courtesy from the still-setting sun… and finally ends with purplish-fuchsia sky with some intimidating yet calming strikes of yellow… gently marking the end of yet another slow and peaceful day in Kota Kinabalu… capital of indeed, the Land below the wind…

I do wonder, apart from me being so blissfully ignorant and taking-for-granted of it all, do most locals actually realize that we have such treasure troves here on our own land? Do we really always, need foreigners to remind us that they flock here to our land, for the natural and beautiful islands and beaches? (not to mention their stupendously crazy exchange rate duh-…). Along our 4d3n stay at the Shangri-la Rasa Ria at Pantai Dalit, KK… we saw that most of their guests were Eurasians, Japanese, Koreans, Hongkies, even Singaporeans… in fact I think we were the only locals around. Hmm… perhaps, after all, i am only reminding me-self here... ^ ^

Our second day at Rasa Ria… was having fun soakin’ in the warm waters of their 1.4m pool… when I just had this queer feeling that somehow it must’ve been
it. That sort of really cut short my intended trip to the Jacuzzi, and the rest of the evening was spent agonizing over bowls of deliciously enticing bak-kut-teh. Yet, I was really, ‘not really there’ at that time. But now when I look back at the pictures taken so painstakingly at the jetty, Yes… those shots were in fact some the most calming ones now…

So now that I’m back here in KL, done with this round of my vacation doing nothing at all but laze on the deck chairs staring at the
crazy blue skies,
it’s getting back to work as usual, waking up at the ‘normal’ 6.45am again… =‘(
I’ve decided that perhaps I should have in place as an act of self-consolation, a rotation of those beautiful pictures we took to be my lappie’s wallpaper… the sights that greet me each day, for the 3 short days… during our stay at room 159, the Shangri-la Rasa Ria.

And yes, I shall make it a point to be back… =>
