MY October

In MY bid to keep MY sanity and balance in check, I keep a blog. In MY bid to keep MY blog one that I myself relish reading back on, I try not to compromise at all… to post only when at the spur of the moment. But lately, it’s been getting more difficult… doesn’t help that MY free times at the office are getting less… doesn’t help that MY line at home is not stable (but that’ll be fixed soon, I promise MYself).

So it’s the end of the year again… yes, the period where all the laziness kicks in. Soon it will be November, then December. => November… will be starting the month with a weekend lazing MY butt on Pantai Dalit, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. And yes, I will make sure we order the “toong foong loh” (some very spiky spiral snails) for our seafood dinners… many, many seafood fares, I heard from the gang… hehehehh. Come December, it’ll be more lazy days in store, with MY dear Galaxy announcing a compulsory leave on the 26th, it will be another long weekend for me again… Thursday to Monday to be exact. Work another 2 days then celebrate the smashing New Year! And then back to work on Friday… =S Yes, but it’s been forewarned, no leaves will be approved on this day. Tsk tsk, I do not have any leave balance anyways… (shame shame…)

But before all that, this is about MY October…
And of course, before I go on, I must congratulate Carol and MayWan on their fabulous October too… here’s to wishing all the “bestest wishes” in this world for their newborns. And to baby Covan, sorry I missed visiting you firsthand at SJMC, but no problem, I got that covered plus getting you some pretty handsome outfits on your full moon… =D

This October also, me and MY sister Sylvia, we managed to get ourselves impressed with Facebook again. Yep, we’ve been locating all our cousin sisters, near and far through FB. It all started with Karen, then one contact leads to another (that’s what’s so clever about FB isn‘t it?), and we tracked down Yoke, Fong, and even Aily! Yes, all the way from the states… Tennessee if I’m not wrong. Hmmm… just how can you not love Facebook huh? It’s almost like, the cleverest invention on the world wide web. =D Exaggerating you think? Well I think NOT! Not at all… (^ ^) and now I’m advocating Alex, Christine, and Xanthe to get themselves available on FB.

Otherwise, how would they be able to share the Ipoh trip pictures with us (us meaning us Sharon and Stanley already with FB accounts) right? It is after all, the easiest way for me to post the pictures, for them to view and laugh and comment silly things there for all to see right? Hahaha… (all meaning all that missed the trip like Hwang and Alanis… hehehehhh…) No offence but, one had to tend to the family and the other, the other had to tend to the belly… so, there’ll always be next time I guess… =>

Speaking of which, I’d been kinda jinxed lately having all my plans said out loud ending up never happening. So, on Friday before the weekend break, Ling and Jess asked if I had any plans for the weekend… to which I desperately, superstitiously told them, “I shall update you guys next week, if all works out”… hahaha… yes, with that, they agreed not to probe further. I guess we all had wanted to have a great weekend break… thanks, ladies… and yes, MY weekend did work out fine. Was up north to Ipoh, Perak (^_^)

This trip to Ipoh with the gang, charted many firsts with them. First, this is the first trip that we actually went sightseeing (unlike Cameron where we did not set foot on any strawberry parks, nor cactus valley nor pasar malam Brinchang at all =P)… this time, we went snapping away at Kellie’s Castle (thanks to poor Alex’s efforts…), this time we went to taste the local kopitiam’s White Coffee, this time we went sightseeing (after all these years) at the famous Sam Poh Tong and Pik Lik Tong (Perak Tong)… this time, we had some red wine and white wine apart from the must-have beer (more BEAR BEER anyone?) this time also, was the first ever that the gang experienced Alex’s fury. Yes, do not provoke further when anyone says they’re damn, fuc*ing “SLEEPY“… =D =D =D

...roaming Kellie's castle...

... glorious Ipoh foodies...

... nature @ Sam Poh Tong...

So, the next great idea now is to plan (read: PLAN) for a trip up north to Huttyai to get wet on their annual Songkran Fest. Hmmm… I’ll be anticipating… with everybody’s hectic schedule, I doubt we’d be able to pull this off though…

Until then, it’s another 4 days of hard work, and we’d be off to KK, Sabah for more sun, sand, sea, and seafood! =D
Ooops, totally forgot about the jinxy part… Touchwood, Fingers Crossed… we’ll have a blast!!…

~Fated To Love You~

second day of the raya hols, after waking up at 10am for a swim session with Jamie at Ken-D, we continued our day with lunch at Fish & Co. The swim session albeit a short one (less than an hour), was in fact also, a very satisfying one. I swam non-stop for a few laps, how many I did not bother to count. But it felt really, really good.. Seeing the shadow of the waves breaking with each of my stroke, reflected by the bright sun onto the grounds of the pool… hmm.. Serene is the word!!!

Our lunch at Fish & Co., 1 Utama was yet again, filled with complaints. Yes. The waiter couldn’t come quick enough.. The main dish came before all the sauce, soup, and drinks did.. The patron at the next table was kinda loud with his complaints too… hmm, but I did enjoy sitting at their outdoor area… with a slight cool breeze (whenever they open the door), and watching the huge assortment of fishes in the big, big tank .. swimming and passing life by, SLO-MO. And yes, I once again promised Jamie that this would be finally, the last time we are ever to go Fish & Co., 1 Utama again (I couldn’t help but get their Coriander Catch today… hic! Mistake..)

Reached home late in the afternoon, with nothing up my sleeves, I ended up watching the last episode of Fated To Love You again… =P yes, I have in fact already finished the 3 discs in a period of.. let me count… hmm, let’s just put it as: 3 nights and 1 day… ;D
Yes, I’ve said it before that I wouldn’t be touching any series or dramedies anymore… once I start, there’s just no way I can concentrate on anything else. Taxing is the word.
But hey, this is really one series that I have no regrets watching… haha.. Ethan Ruan and Baron Chen … vava-voom on the drool-o-meter. I’ll ask Sylvia if she has anymore good ones… LOL… but for now, I guess I’ll just have to snap out of it for good!

Dinner time! Received an impromptu call from ChuenHoe. Great, he and Kent were having meatball noodles downstairs. Just at the right time too!… hmm, couldn’t help but notice that Hoe’s grown… thinner. Maybe it was the hair, but I think his face kind of looked narrowed and longer. Anyways, it was quickly pointed out that his stomach was sticking out by who else but his K² … =P hmm, no comment there.

October is here, can’t wait for the 1st of November already. Before I forget, I really must quickly apply for my second ‘joint leave’ of the year… watzat u asked? Well, you wouldn’t want to know… really…

As for now, please do excuse me while I get back to work on this Mondayish-Friday…
